The research indicates that when the volumetric water absorption of EPS is less than 1%, the heat transfer coefficient can be increased by 5%; when the volume water absorption rate reaches 3%-5%, the heat transfer coefficient can be increased by 15%-25%. After prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light, the surface will yellow, but the physical properties of the material itself will not decrease too much. In most countries, it is recommended to take protective measures. For example, in the summer when the sunshine is strong, the construction time should be shortened as much as possible and should be placed in a dark warehouse when storing EPS.
